Since taking over Mardon in late 2006 we have continued to build on its reputation of 20 years as a ‘home from home’. We hope to make your stay with us a healthy and enjoyable experience. As well as offering you her warm Scottish welcome, Val uses her background in Nutritional Therapy to search for and obtain the best quality breakfast ingredients with the emphasis on organic and local produce wherever possible. Chris is a keen cook and breakfasts are prepared to order bearing individual preferences in mind.
In the interests of the health of all, Mardon is a no-smoking building.

Inverness is the ideal base to go out exploring the mountains, lochs and glens of the famous Scottish Highlands, and with all the shops and banks you'd expect to find on any High Street just across the River Ness, what more could you need?
We are ideally placed to help you to recover from exertions on the Great Glen Way (or prepare for it if you want to do it in reverse). Also through our association with Walkingworld we can provide details of hundreds of local walks to suit all needs and abilities. Cyclists touring the area can rest easy at night with their cycles safely stowed in our private parking area. Additionally, through personal interest, we can advise on and help with the many golfing opportunities in the area.
Inverness Bridge Street (pictured right) is the main thoroughfare in Inverness with shops, restaurants and the main Tourist Information Office centred here. Mardon is just off-shot bottom left

Castle and Cathedral – Mardon is two minutes walk from both of these landmarks. Below the cathedral you can see the beginning of the beautiful ‘Islands Walk’ which leads along the west bank of the river Ness and crosses to the east bank via the Ness Islands (about 1 hour round walk from Mardon) |
Inverness from the west – shows the whole of Inverness with, in the background, the Kessock Bridge (A82 going north to Thurso and Wick), the Black Isle and the Moray Firth (famous for its dolphins) |
Mardon has been welcoming visitors from all over the world for almost 20 years, many of our guests have enjoyed their stay so much that they come back to Mardon time and time again. So if you haven't sampled our famous Highland Welcome and homely atmosphere before, what are you waiting for?
